The shadows of budding tree limbs dance across the facade of St. Luke's Episcopal Church at Old Cahawba Archaeological Park.
The 1854 church designed by Richard Upjohn was built in Cahaba,
later relocated and recently rebuilt at the park.

What a beautiful old church! Being an Episcopalian, I would love to see the inside.
ReplyDeleteLois, it is beautiful but the interior has yet to be renovated although I'm sure it is gorgeous as is. Architecture students from Auburn University's Rural Studio took this church down and rebuilt it at Cahaba, which was its original location.
