Okay, it can start raining now!
Cows are wading out to the middle of ponds to drink water.
They can get stuck doing that.

No, this long, dry spell isn't nearly as bad
as the record droughts
of 2000 and 2007, but it still hurts!

And to think that not so long ago,
we were cryin' in the rain
during the wettest year of the decade!

I believe it's time for Gov. Riley to issue another
"Pray for Rain" proclamation.
Sure helped last time.

What a sweet shot...looks like the cow is being careful about not venturing out too deeply into the mud. Hope you get some much-needed rain.
ReplyDeleteI like the cow in the pond, especially in black and white!

I like your picture! We desperately need some rain up here in Tennessee as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks, George. We have a slight chance of rain tonight. I was hoping TS Paula would head this way, but now it looks like it might take a right to Florida.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize y'all were experiencing a shortage of the wet stuff. We've had a relatively wet summer but not much rain in the past couple of weeks. Love this photo!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jacob. More to come when I have time! We finally got about a third of an inch night before last when a "dry front" moved through. Even got wind and lightning. Hadn't seen all that in a long time.
